Cops wielding fire extinguishers FINALLY destroy UCLA pro-Palestine encampment
- PolitiBrawl Staff
Police in riot gear dismantled an anti-Israel protest encampment at UCLA, facing off with violent protesters armed with fire extinguishers and pepper spray.
California Highway Patrol intervened around 3 a.m., detaining at least 132 protesters who ignored dispersal orders issued at 6 p.m. the previous day.
Smoke bombs and what seemed like rubber bullets were deployed by officers as they confronted protesters.
Protesters were seen on their knees with hands zip-tied behind their backs and were loaded onto buses.
Some protesters resisted, aiming pepper or bear spray at officers, while others attempted to rebuild barricades after initial dismantling.
