When pressed directly on whether she married her brother, Rep. Ilhan Omar answered “not to my knowledge” during an interview with MS NOW’s Chris Hayes.

• Omar described the Oct. 12 raid on her D.C. home as “intrusive but polite,” saying agents seized 17 items including phones and notebooks, denied reports they collected her DNA, and said she can no longer live there due to safety concerns after her address became public.

• Omar pushed back on questions about her finances, describing herself as “working class” with a 2016 Toyota Camry as her only car, after earlier disclosures listing a combined net worth up to $30 million were revised downward. She denied all wrongdoing and expressed confidence she’ll ultimately be cleared.

Mike Rogers, Abdul El-Sayed clash in heated second Michigan Senate debate

During their Wednesday night debate, Mike Rogers accused Abdul El-Sayed of dual allegiance, citing El-Sayed’s past refusal to say whether Israel or Iran poses a greater threat.

• Rogers accused El-Sayed of deleting past social media content about defunding police and raised his past ties to the Muslim Students Association, while El-Sayed called renewed scrutiny of alleged Muslim Brotherhood connections “beneath” his opponent. Rogers also criticized El-Sayed’s Medicare and AI regulation proposals as costly, government-expanding policies aligned with democratic socialism.

• The debate closed with a tense exchange over gun policy, where Rogers resurfaced a 2023 video of El-Sayed suggesting the Second Amendment be reconsidered in favor of a healthcare right, while El-Sayed criticized Rogers for his answer to a yes-or-no question on background checks. The two candidates, now finished debating, face off in Michigan’s Nov. 3 general election.

While a lot of attention has been focused recently on the Michigan Senate race between Mike Rodgers (R) and Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed (D), the state’s other Democrat senator decided to remind voters what is truly at stake for the midterms.

Senator Elissa Slotkin said during a University of Chicago Institute of Politics event that she not only wants to go after President Donald Trump with prosecutions, but also seeks to target staffers and people within the administration “who enable him.”

“I want young people coming out of school to say ‘Should I go work for the Trump administration, like, that sounds fun. I might get an opportunity.’ I want them to be like, ‘Lord, that might be buying myself a ton of problems that I don’t want and so let me avoid participating in that,” Slotkin explained.

“I want that deterrence message,” she added.

Slotkin’s comments were met with widespread criticisms from Republicans politicians and conservative activists.

“Never forget. These people think of you as an enemy combatant. ‘Bipartisanship’ and ‘reaching across the aisle’ is dead,” said Nick Solheim, CEO of American Moment.

“The plan: scare & harass conservatives from participating in politics and government. Run you out of the public square. And re-open the gates to unfettered, anti-Western mass migration. That’s their plan,” CNN commentator Scott Jennings warned.

As usual, I’m thankful Slotkin was honest with what she wants the Democrats to do should they sweep in the midterms next month. Despite being more unpopular than Republicans, Democrats appear to have the upper hand of the midterms because they are pointing to the state of the economy and cost of living.

“Vote for us,” they say, “We promise to lower costs this time around!”

Never mind they did not do that when they controlled Congress and the White House not that long ago, but the actual plans being laid out are more focused on targeting President Trump instead of addressing voters’ concerns.

Take the cost of gas. It is higher than normal due to multiple factors, like the war in Iran, but the highest gas prices in the country continue to remain in Democrat-controlled states. The liberal leaders in those states have refused to adjust their taxes and costs on gas in response to the spike in prices. They rather keep the prices higher than provide relief to their people all so they can shift the blame on Trump.

That is just one example. Democrats have made it clear they want to primarily target Trump and jam up his agenda while paying lip service to their base on other issues.

Slotkin demonstrates exactly why Democrats must never be back in power. To them, it is not about actually making the country better. They want to drag us down because their far-leftist ideals demand it. If Republicans sit out the midterms, Democrats will be able to do so without a second thought.

“Did you see the hammer and sickle flags?! Did you see the Palestinian flags?! What does that have to do with the school curriculum or lack of teachers?!!” Kilmeade pressed the congressman.

Body language expert sees “deception” signals in Omar’s donation video

Rep. Ilhan Omar posted her first on-camera message since last week’s federal raid on her D.C. home, insisting Trump’s administration is “running scared” and urging supporters to donate as she fights what she calls politically motivated intimidation.

• Body language expert Lillian Glass told The NY Post Omar’s expression showed “countless signals of deception,” citing her nervous smile, raised eyebrows, shoulder movements, and vocal inflection patterns as inconsistent with confident, genuine communication.

• The video comes amid an ongoing federal investigation into whether Omar misrepresented her age when she gained citizenship through her father in 2000, with over a dozen grand jury subpoenas issued to family members as prosecutors reportedly pursue DNA evidence in the case.

Massachusetts woman charged in $6M illegal immigrant sham marriage scheme

Federal prosecutors charged Jennifer Gonzalez, 43, and five others for allegedly running a decade-long scheme facilitating around 18-20 fake marriages annually, charging illegal immigrants $38,000-$40,000 each to marry U.S. citizens and obtain immigration status.

• Gonzalez reportedly paused the operation in 2024, citing stricter immigration enforcement under the Trump administration, while allegedly collecting over $124,000 in SNAP benefits by concealing her income and her own fraudulent marriage, and investing proceeds in property in the Dominican Republic.

• U.S. Attorney Leah Foley vowed to prosecute, denaturalize, and deport those who obtained status through the alleged scheme, noting Gonzalez had prior convictions for offenses including fraud and identity theft. She and her co-conspirators face charges including conspiracy to commit marriage fraud and harboring illegal aliens.

Minneapolis mayor calls Somali migrants “CEOs of the future”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey praised the city’s Somali community at a networking event, calling them “CEOs of the future” and crediting them with building new forms of entrepreneurship, while suggesting federal scrutiny and fraud investigations earlier this year stemmed from recognizing their economic success.

• A Center for Immigration Studies report found that Somali immigrants in Minnesota, now numbering over 75,000, are having a hard time assimilating and economically thriving. About 52% of children in Somali households live in poverty versus 8% for native families, and roughly 39% of working-age Somalis lack a high school diploma compared to 5% of natives. Half of Somalis who've lived in the U.S. over a decade still don't speak English well. The report also cites high public assistance use — 54% of households receive food stamps and 73% have a member on Medicaid, far above native rates.

• Frey’s comments follow reports that Somali-linked fraud cost the U.S. taxpayer roughly $19 billion. This as part of broader scrutiny after citizen journalists, including Nick Shirley, raised questions about federal funding tied to childcare centers and other programs in Minnesota and other states.

Chambers isn’t hiding this, by the way. He openly states, “I’m an American communist. My primary position in life is to extract as much of my family’s hoarded wealth as possible and reappropriate it to revolutionary organizing.” He’s even called for building a “revolutionary communist party organized around Marxist-Leninist principles.”

But the revolution has hit a major legal roadblock. Chambers is currently sitting in a jail cell in Ibiza. U.S. authorities have indicted him and are seeking his extradition from Spain over allegations of money laundering, riot-related offenses, and, crucially, transferring roughly €7 million connected to Hamas.

Just last week, Spain’s National Court denied his request for release for the fourth time. Like all communists Chambers cries political prosecution, but the feds are following the money.

And Chambers’s case isn’t an isolated incident. We are witnessing a massive crackdown on the financial networks of the far-left.

Another example: Neville Roy Singham, the deep-pocketed financier behind radical outfits like The People’s Forum. He is currently staring down a federal grand-jury investigation over potential foreign-agent violations. Then there’s ActBlue, still tangled up in congressional investigations over fraud controls and alleged illegal foreign contributions. Reid Hoffman’s American Future Republic? Under a DOJ investigation for potential money laundering tied to the E. Jean Carroll litigation. Even the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) was federally indicted earlier this year on fraud and money-laundering charges.

The scrutiny isn’t stopping at private bank accounts, either. Federal agents recently raided Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home, seizing her phone as part of a sweeping immigration-fraud investigation. Meanwhile, the administration is heavily scrutinizing rampant childcare and program fraud in Minnesota, continuing prosecutions from the massive Feeding Our Future scheme.

And we can’t forget the ultimate piggy bank: USAID. The administration exposed how USAID was funneling taxpayer dollars into left-wing programs that had zero to do with America’s core interests. The result? They gutted it. By March 2026, thousands of grants were terminated, the workforce was slashed from roughly 13,600 down to a couple hundred, and the agency was effectively absorbed into the State Department.

Democratic critics are predictably crying foul, claiming federal law enforcement is being “weaponized.” But to anyone who has watched these networks operate with impunity for the last decade, this doesn’t look like weaponization. It looks like overdue accountability.

The radical left’s financial infrastructure is finally being dragged into the light. It’s about time.

This is, once again, another feather in Trump’s cap to show the American people for the midterms. We are lied to, time and time again, and told that Trump hasn’t delivered on his promises. We are told that he hasn’t made meaningful long term change in the country. This is simply untrue, and all we have to do is follow the money to prove it.

Ilhan Omar’s sister questioned as investigators pursue DNA evidence in fraud probe

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s sister, Sahra Noor, was voluntarily interviewed by federal investigators after an Oct. 12 raid on Omar’s D.C. home, though it is not yet known what she discussed with authorities.

• Investigators reportedly obtained DNA evidence aimed at supporting allegations that Omar married her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, in 2009 to help him obtain a green card, with sources saying evidence gathered may be sufficient to seek a grand jury indictment on conspiracy charges.

• Border czar Tom Homan said officials have built a “strong case” potentially leading to Omar’s denaturalization, while her attorneys have accused the DOJ of violating search warrant protocols and demanded seized property’s return — allegations the DOJ called false and a “publicity play.”

Expanding network of far-left groups involved in Paris riots - New protests scheduled

A Fox News Digital investigation identified 101 organizations across 13 countries, including the U.S., coordinating, organizing, or amplifying France’s ongoing unrest, up from 54 found earlier in the week, with only one in three led by youth or student groups.

• New protests are planned for Oct. 24 (”Acte II”), Oct. 31 (”Acte III”), and a coordinated European youth strike on Nov. 20 involving dozens of socialist, communist, and anti-war groups across countries including Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, and Belgium, with organizing happening through websites and Telegram channels.

• U.S.-based groups, including CodePink, BreakThrough News, and the Party for Socialism and Liberation — tied to China-linked funder Neville Roy Singham — are amplifying the protests, drawing connections to broader anti-war and anti-capitalist causes, while academic Hatem Bazian linked the unrest to unrelated historical and geopolitical events, including the 2023 Gaza hospital explosion.

• French authorities ordered curfews Monday night in parts of Paris, Nice, Lille, and other cities hit by weekend rioting that began as school-condition protests but escalated into broader unrest over living costs, resulting in at least 2,400 arrests.

Far-left extremist arrested over planned Limoges City Hall arson

French counter-terrorism police arrested Hodei Docampo Ciarra, a known “ultra-left” activist on the national terror watchlist, as authorities now say the Oct. 17 burning of Limoges City Hall was a premeditated arson attack rather than riot-driven destruction, carried out amid a 5,000-person protest.

• Limoges Mayor Guillaume Guérin said the attack involved advance reconnaissance and specialized equipment, including a 200-kilogram battering ram, calling Ciarra the likely “mastermind.” Ciarra’s father was separately convicted earlier this year for unrelated arson attacks on power and telecom infrastructure.

• Cannes Mayor David Lisnard alleged the existence of rural “terrorist training camps” tied to ultra-left and Antifa-linked networks, further connecting the unrest to presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s party, which police intelligence has separately accused of helping instigate the broader nationwide riots.

A newly released report has revealed that the Biden administration allowed nine of the largest American banks to “debank” customers with conservative or religious values. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency found that JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, Capital One, PNC, TD Bank, and BMO Bank financially excluded numerous right-wing and Christian groups. Merchants selling firearms, tobacco, Arctic oil and gas, and MAGA merchandise were specially targeted, as were pro-life and conservative groups.

The OCC reviewed almost 100,000 complaints filed between 2020 and 2025, and found that many of the banks had failed to maintain objective, fair standards when assessing a client’s risk potential. Instead, the banks were far more concerned with “public perception risk” or “potential stakeholder biases,” which led them to flag customers as high risk on an inconsistent basis. As a result, Americans had their accounts closed and were denied financial services.

The report detailed how one bank’s reputation risk employees worked alongside a payment’s subsidiary group to close the account of a customer who was perceived to be a “[r]ight wing religious conservative non profit with strong anti LGBTQ rhetoric.”

Banks repeatedly declined to serve customers whose reputations had been mischaracterized in popular culture, even without any factual evidence of wrongdoing. Political and religious groups who had negative press or reviews were given higher risk assessments than high-net-worth individuals who had significantly higher negative media exposure.

One American working in the firearms industry approached a bank about options for an initial public offering. The bank denied the request, claiming that the firearms company’s values didn’t align with the bank’s internal firearms standards, which included limiting the sale of high-capacity magazines and preventing firearms from being sold to individuals until they turned 21. Other banks disproportionately put restrictions on small firearms businesses, unduly labeling them as “high risk.” One unidentified bank claimed they wouldn’t lend to some firearms businesses because it was deemed a “politically charged topic,” which could lead to pressure from protestors and activists.

Banks changed their policies to pander to the social and political climate. The OCC found that many banks chose confusing language and gave vague rationale in detailing why they were closing customers’ accounts. This prevented customers from understanding why their account was being suspended or how they could reopen it. They used phrases like “continuing a relationship is not in the best interest of either party” or “your risk profile no longer aligns with the bank’s risk tolerance.”

In 2021, PNC bank refused to extend a line of credit to a conservative media group whose owner’s foundation was described by a PNC risk assessment employee as having “funded several Christian conservative groups, including several identified as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center.” They also refused a service bid to the company for allegedly spreading “disinformation / misinformation” in the wake of January 6th.

WePay, a subsidiary of JP Morgan, developed a list of terms that it screened as prohibited against customers’ profiles. Many of the terms included on the list were related to January 6th, Make America Great Again, or America First. In February 2021, WePay closed the account of a company selling Donald Trump-themed merchandise, alleging it violated their terms of service. In November 2021, they closed another account because the owner had made posts calling President Biden and Dr. Fauci “the enemy” and describing the BLM movement as Marxist.

In June 2021, WePay’s risk assessment team advised against working with an organization because they described them as “a conservative education and research organization… Their mission is promoting, protecting, and strengthening traditional family values, which include pro-life, pro-marriage and pro-family.”

Citibank declined one business a line of credit because they didn’t comply with their environmental policies and weren’t fully committed to the bank’s decarbonization goals. Another bank put restrictions on companies who were involved in “Arctic oil and gas exploration, development, and production.”

None of the banks found guilty of discrimination have acknowledged their unfair policies. Several have claimed that they will be implementing anti-discriminatory policies, although many of the banks were “unable when pressed” to give a “quantifiable” set of assessment standards to which they would adhere.

Trump says quiet part out loud: France’s weak immigration policy led to riots

President Donald Trump said France’s current unrest stems entirely from immigration, not education or other factors, calling the situation “very sad” and warning the country faces a difficult recovery.

• Trump said he warned President Macron during his first term to secure France’s borders, claiming the country has let in people who “don’t love” its culture, buildings, or art.

• Trump added: France has “ruined” itself through its border policies but expressed hope the country could eventually recover.

If President Emmanuel Macron declares a state of emergency (état d’urgence), the government gains temporary, expanded civilian administrative and police powers to restrict certain freedoms and restore order, mainly for up to 12 days (extendable by Parliament).

The Louvre closes as Paris unrest spreads to major tourist sites

The Louvre shut down Monday after protesters from the École du Louvre barricaded entrances, including the glass pyramid, in solidarity with nationwide demonstrations over cost-of-living concerns and police conduct, with no reopening time announced.

• The closure adds to a chaotic stretch for Paris tourism following a weekend of riots that left hundreds of businesses damaged and nearly 2,400 people arrested, with the Eiffel Tower also recently closed for a full day amid a staff strike over working conditions.

• Other major sites have faced disruptions too, including the Château de Versailles, which closed its interior in early October due to a power outage, while institutions like the Musée d’Orsay and Arc de Triomphe saw strike-related closures last year.

Treasury identifies $270M in suspected student aid fraud

The Treasury Department’s FinCEN flagged roughly $270 million in suspicious activity tied to possible fraud targeting federal student aid programs, referring the findings to federal investigators for further review.

• The fraud reportedly involves schemes using stolen identities to create “ghost students” who fraudulently enroll to claim aid funds, a tactic FinCEN warned financial institutions about in July, noting it can also disadvantage legitimate students trying to enroll.

• Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the administration won’t tolerate fraud exploiting government programs, citing broader efforts including recovering $175 million in erroneous payments to deceased individuals, sanctioning overseas scam networks, and expanding whistleblower tip programs with cash rewards.

Feds arrest dozens in California illegal voting crackdown

Federal authorities arrested roughly two dozen people under “Operation Protect the Vote,” targeting foreign nationals accused of fraudulently registering and, in some cases, voting in U.S. elections, including a Belizean national accused of voting in three election cycles and falsely claiming citizenship on his naturalization application.

• The operation follows a DOJ letter to California Secretary of State Shirley Weber alleging the state may have mailed ballots to noncitizens, prompting federal officials to provide L.A. County a list of suspect registrants and request their ballots be segregated pending verification.

• Weber pushed back, accusing the DOJ of unlawfully seeking voter data and sowing distrust, while maintaining California already has safeguards preventing noncitizen registration. Federal prosecutor Bill Essayli said the arrests confirm earlier warnings that noncitizens were voting in the state.

BBC calls Paris protest “mostly peaceful” as historic buildings burn, violence intensifies

BBC correspondent James Waterhouse described France’s weekend unrest as “mostly peaceful” even while his own report showed footage of burning cars, masked rioters clashing with police, and a looted wine shop, after more than 2,400 arrests were made across the country.

• Waterhouse attributed much of the violence to an “opportunistic minority” rather than the roughly 500,000 genuine protesters who demonstrated nationwide, though critics argued the framing downplayed the scale of destruction shown in his own footage.

• Social media users mocked the characterization, drawing comparisons to a widely criticized 2020 CNN report that described riots in Kenosha as “fiery but mostly peaceful” while cars burned in the background.

• President Donald Trump responded to the unrest on Truth Social, demanding France close it’s borders and regain control of law and order while identifying the large migrant participation in the riots, evident from abundant field reporter footage.

French mayor calls for terrorism probe, Antifa ban amid riots

Nice Mayor Éric Ciotti urged prosecutors to investigate the weekend’s riots as terrorism and called for banning far-left groups like Antifa, describing the unrest as a coordinated “hybrid phenomenon” involving Islamists, drug traffickers, and far-left agitators targeting government institutions.

• Ciotti proposed jury trials for rioters who attacked police, emergency prison capacity, stripping social benefits from involved families, and banning the next scheduled protest on Nov. 5. Separately, former Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau called on Macron to declare a state of emergency to enable curfews and preemptive crowd-control measures.

• French officials have largely blamed far-left party La France Insoumise for fueling the unrest, while critics including presidential candidate Éric Zemmour pointed to immigrant communities as driving the violence, accusing Macron of avoiding that discussion.

National Guard member shot while intervening in D.C. street fight

A National Guard member was shot in the leg Sunday night while attempting to break up a fight, D.C. Interim Police Chief Jeffery Carroll said, adding that the suspect involved was also shot during the encounter.

• Both the Guard member and suspect sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospitals for treatment; both are expected to survive, according to Carroll.

France is no stranger to violent riots and the recent wave of mass protests the past few weeks has been a good reminder of that fact. What started as protests over alleged conditions at schools has morphed into widespread chaos.

Saturday’s call to action was answered in droves as hundreds of thousands of rioters attacked police and set fires across the country.

From Paris to Marseille to Lyon, the violence was widespread. Many buildings were either burned or looted, fires were set to vehicles, and stones were thrown at first responders.

The ongoing unrest started in late September when protests started in the suburbs of Paris over school conditions, but it was quickly seized by leftist groups and second and third generation migrants to cause mayhem. This weekend’s protest was supposedly over the cost of living being high in the country.

Due to the large-scale violence, police in France have been forced to use crowd control measures and make lots of arrests, which have only served to make the rioters even more angry.

President Emmanuel Macron issued a mild statement, saying attacks on law enforcement and bystanders would not be tolerated.

“Those who have broken, attacked the prefectures as well as businesses, looted even our town halls, will be prosecuted and punished,” he said. “We will all stand united against the sowers of chaos, who seek only to bring down our institutions and prevent those who peacefully express their demands from doing so.”

The BBC reports 1,200 people were arrested with at least 150 police officers being injured.

Reacting to the harrowing videos, Vice President JD Vance blamed the mass importation of third-world immigrants into the by Western liberals for the riots.

“They ignored fundamental questions of assimilation and compatibility. They were told it would lead to this and they didn’t listen. I pray that France, a beautiful country of amazing people, will stop this madness before more of its landmarks burn,” Vance said.

“And I hope Americans are paying attention. This is the future congressional Democrats seek for your country,” he added.

President Donald Trump echoed a similar sentiment, writing on Truth Social, “France is burning! The immigration of people from an entirely different world, people with hatred in their hearts, has shattered that once great country.”

More mass gatherings that could turn out to be similar to Saturday’s events are planned in the weeks ahead. So far, the French military has not been called upon to reinforce the police.

Ever since I got involved in politics, I’ve accurately predicted every national election cycle in America. And I’m here to do it once more.

Pollsters are infamous for missing the mark. But history shows we can still use their data to figure out where the midterms will land. I used this method in 2022 and 2024, and was proven right both times.

Despite popular belief, pollsters not directly on a campaign’s payroll have a real incentive to be accurate. When they get it wrong, they lose credibility, and media outlets look elsewhere. That dynamic is a double-edged sword: accuracy might improve, but so does hedging. It’s the reason races always seem to tighten and pollsters cluster around an average as Election Day nears.

Take a look at polling accuracy over the past two decades, though, and it tells an interesting story about GOP voters.

On average, polling this century has been off by about 2.6%. This margin of error can often be explained by conservatives’ reluctance to answer pollsters honestly, compared to liberals who tend to be more open about their politics.

Some well-meaning, though overly optimistic, conservatives have claimed this year’s polling will be off by three times that amount. I think that’s both inaccurate and unhelpful. I predict, once again, the polls will be off by 2-3%.

What does this mean?

Senate

For the Senate, it means the following races that are currently leaning Democrat will actually flip to Republicans: Iowa, Maine, Alaska, and Minnesota. If Republicans do win those four seats, they will retain the Senate with 51 seats.

Now, it’s important to bear in mind that this assumes Abdul El-Sayed wins his race in Michigan, and James Talarico wins his in Texas. Both are largely considered among the most radical politicians running in their party this cycle, and larger swings than 3% may happen as a result.

House

In the House, Republicans face a much tougher battle. Current projections show Democrats holding a strong position, even before factoring in the tightest races. According to forecast models, while there are a number of true toss-up districts, Democrats are currently polling favorably enough to threaten the majority.

What Republicans do have going for them, however, is the redistricting battle. After a slew of legal challenges and map amendments over the last two years, Republicans have secured a net advantage in newly drawn districts. This structural edge alone could keep them from losing too much ground to the Democrats.

My prediction

Republicans will not take the House, but they won’t lose the Senate, either. When the dust settles, I believe Republicans will hold 51 to 52 Senate seats, keeping Trump safe from removal.

They won’t have as much luck in the lower chamber. I predict Republicans won’t pick up many toss-up districts, leaving them with roughly 200 to 210 total seats, while Democrats will control 225 to 235.

What can you expect for 2027 and 2028? A congressional deadlock. Trump will not be removed from office, but his legislative agenda won’t be passed, either. We’ll have to wait for 2029 to try to advance conservative legislation once again.

Armed bystander who killed Oregon school shooter identified as father of two students

Kaylub Giamanco, a 36-year-old carpenter, has been identified as the bystander who confronted and killed the gunman at Silver Rail Elementary School, where his two daughters attend. His brother said Giamanco heard gunshots while driving home for lunch, saw the shooter enter the school, and intervened using a concealed firearm he was carrying.

• Giamanco’s brother called him a hero but said he’s struggled emotionally with being unable to save more victims. The attack killed four people, including three children ages 5, 8, and 11.

• A 7-year-old victim shot in the face was airlifted to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland and underwent emergency surgery, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Construction wages rise as deportations tighten migrant labor supply

Construction wages are climbing nationally following Trump’s deportation enforcement, with Florida seeing the sharpest gains — framing carpenters now earning roughly $42/hour, up from $20, according to a Wall Street Journal report citing industry sources.

• Labor shortages have forced contractors to raise rates and recruit more aggressively; one North Florida subcontractor reported a 70% drop in available crews, while national data shows construction craft worker pay rising around 5% year-over-year as of May 2026.

• Texas has seen slower wage growth, with workers there earning about $37/hour as of December 2025, as some construction associations continue lobbying for expanded migrant labor access despite the broader national wage trend favoring domestic workers.

The midterms are less than a month away, and while everyone has their eyes trained on the House and Senate, a handful of highly contested gubernatorial races carry massive implications.

One of them is in Ohio… and something shocking is taking place.

For the first time in 20 years, a Democrat may win, but not for the reason you think.

Amy Acton vs. Vivek Ramaswamy. That’s who’s stepping up to the plate for both parties.

Kalshi odds currently give Vivek Ramaswamy just a 31% chance of winning, despite Ohio going +11 points for Donald Trump in 2024. Vivek is struggling in recent polls after Amy Acton picked up an unlikely endorsement from Hitler apologist Nick Fuentes.

“Early voting has begun in Ohio. VOTE AMY ACTON FOR GOVERNOR,” Fuentes said in a recent stream.

As early as May, he said the following: “We’re gonna have to hold our noses and we’re gonna have to vote Democrat. We have to deny Vivek Ramaswamy the governorship. I’ll take an enemy over a traitor. We are going out for the Democrat happily, proudly as a middle finger to Vivek Ramaswamy and his giant head.”

Both Fuentes and his supporters have made their motivations clear. They don’t want to vote for someone who doesn’t look like them, and they believe Vivek wants to import the Third World.

“You gave us Vivek, we’ll give you Amy Acton, and no one is going to be happy about it. Do better next time.”

Fuentes’ reasoning is that if his base sides with Democrats this time, the GOP will listen to them next cycle and nominate someone “better.”

While some Republicans have been receptive to this message, others, myself included, see a very different strategy at play.

Nick Fuentes doesn’t want to change the GOP. He wants to destroy it.

Earlier this year, a leftist organization called the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) was indicted for funding far-right extremist groups in an effort to manufacture extremism. Could this be another one of their campaigns?

We don’t know for sure. But what we do know is that if it is, the polls show it’s working.

Fuentes’ logic is glaringly flawed. His camp assumes Vivek Ramaswamy wants to let the Third World in through legal immigration. Their solution? Elect an open-borders Democrat. They claim they won’t vote for Ramaswamy because he’s Hindu and doesn’t share their faith, yet they are eager to elect a Democrat who hates their religion.

As the midterms come to a head, we have to ask ourselves the classic question once again: Is this all just internet noise? Will these people actually show up to vote? Or is it a sick alignment of the far-left and far-right working together to undermine MAGA and President Trump’s agenda?

• Talarico called abortion a “public health problem” rather than a moral one, acknowledging he and Hunt reach different conclusions while insisting both can be Christians with differing views on the issue.

• Separately, Christian business owner Sarah Gardner challenged Talarico over past comments calling God “nonbinary,” which he defended as “provocative” but theologically uncontroversial, while affirming Jesus as “the way, the truth, and the life” — a shift from a 2023 sermon in which he said God is not exclusively Christian.

Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed dismissed social media posts from his sister Eman Abdelhadi that indicate his family has long standing ties to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood as “hearsay”, including that his mother was active in the group in the 1970s and relatives were jailed over Brotherhood connections.

Ilhan Omar’s cellphone and passport seized in deportation investigation

Ilhan Omar’s cellphone, notebooks, computers, and passport during Monday’s home search, part of separate probes examining alleged immigration fraud in Minnesota and the finances of Omar and her husband Tim Mynett under the DC US Attorney’s office, with the immigration investigation reportedly aimed at eventual denaturalization and deportation.

• The probe centers on whether Omar misrepresented her age to qualify for derivative citizenship through her father in 2000; some records list her birth year as 1981, which would have made her too old for the minor exemption, though her staff later pushed to officially record it as 1982.

Report: Most UK jobs since 2014 went to foreign workers, welfare costs soar

A Centre for Social Justice report found that since 2014, only 734,000 new UK jobs went to British citizens, compared to nearly 3 million taken by immigrants — mostly from outside Europe — with the shift accelerating after Brexit and pandemic-era immigration policy changes under Boris Johnson.

• The report found welfare dependency rose alongside migrant employment, with 2.3 million more Britons receiving out-of-work benefits since 2020, pushing the UK’s total welfare bill to £136 billion this year — up £50 billion since 2019-20.

Detective Jose Mercedes spoke publicly for the first time since surviving a stabbing by two illegal immigrants on Oct. 2, saying he drew on his investigative training to stay calm, conserve blood loss, and provide detailed information to 911 while fighting for his life.

• Federal agents searched Rep. Ilhan Omar’s D.C. home Monday under a judicially authorized warrant tied to an ongoing criminal investigation reportedly focused on immigration paperwork filed by her father when she was a child; DOJ confirmed the search without naming Omar specifically.

• Omar accused the administration of political targeting, saying she “will not be silenced.” The raid follows earlier confirmations from officials including DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin and border czar Tom Homan that a criminal investigation into her immigration history was underway.

Early Monday morning, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home was raided by the Department of Homeland Security as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into the Minnesota Democrat. DHS partnered with the Homeland Security Investigation agents, using a “judicially authorized search warrant” to search her Washington, DC home. Multiple sources have claimed the investigation relates to whether she may have committed fraud on her immigration paperwork. Omar was born in Somalia and spent 4 years in Kenya before immigrating to the U.S. in 1995.

Later in the morning, White House Border Czar Tom Homan told interviewers that “We know this investigation was ongoing for a while. There was a warrant executed this morning, so I’ll leave it at that. The specifics of the investigation, I think I need to turn that over to Todd Blanche or Markwayne Mullen.”

Omar also responded to the raid on X, saying “Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement.” She also stated, “I will not be silenced.” Omar then turned off the replies to her post.

Questions surrounding Omar’s immigration status have been a point of contention since she was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018, when she became one of the first Muslim women to serve in Congress.

In 2002, Omar married Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi in their “faith tradition,” never applying for a civil marriage. She and Hirsi had two children together. According to Omar, the two split in 2008. She then legally married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, a British citizen, in 2009. The two did not divorce until 2017. Despite being legally married to Elmi at the time, Omar and Hirsi had their third child together in 2012. Many believe Elmi is Omar’s brother, although she has declined to provide a list of her siblings to the public. Her campaign stated that she was unable to acquire a birth certificate due to the collapse of Somalia’s infrastructure.

Omar became a naturalized citizen in 2000, just months before her 18th birthday, allowing her to receive automatic citizenship as a minor child of a naturalized parent. However, former Minnesota Congressional candidate AJ Kern found evidence that Omar “actually wasn’t a minor when her father could apply for naturalization.” In May 2019, Omar’s staff asked the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library to change her birth year from 1981 to 1982. If Omar was born in 1981, she would not have been a minor in 2000, meaning that she would not actually be a naturalized citizen.

The State of Minnesota doesn’t verify citizenship for candidates, but only requires them to sign an affidavit stating that they meet constitutional requirements. The Federal Elections Commission has also claimed that it doesn’t have the power to verify the citizenship status for federal candidates.

Omar has never publicly produced either her naturalization certificate nor her passport. Many, including Rep. Nancy Mace, attempted to file FOIA requests pertaining to Omar’s immigration documents, but those efforts were “blocked by Democrats.” The U.S. House of Representatives has not required Omar to make her naturalization documentation publicly available. Even the left-leaning Snopes admitted that they were “unable to locate any official documentation” verifying whether Omar was a naturalized citizen and received no response after reaching out to her spokesperson.

Amidst investigations into her own immigration status, Omar has repeatedly pushed for looser immigration restrictions. She has called to abolish ICE multiple times and introduced the “Make ICE Pay Act,” which would strip ICE and Border Patrol of $140 billion. She compared the U.S. to Somalia, saying she didn’t expect to see such conduct because “this is the U.S. [sic] god----” states.” In 2024, she criticized the Biden administration for not raising the refugee admissions cap and in 2026 she referred to ICE operations in Minnesota as “militarized racial terror.”

At the RNC in September 2026, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin responded to concerns about Omar’s immigration status. He stated that, “When we move forward it’s not political, it’s because you chose to break the nation’s laws… I’m in charge of enforcing the laws.” He stated that it was part of an ongoing investigation.

“There’s no other country in the world that has an election system like we have! We don’t want to cover up fraud! If we have inactive voters on our rolls and somehow ballots are being cast in their name even though they moved to Texas or Florida, we want to know about it!” Zacharia fired back.
